The RPG & DB2 Summit - Spring 2007
We're back from a very exciting week! Over 120 System i professionals convened in Las Vegas on March 19-22 for the very first RPG & DB2 Summit. Many thanks to all of you who helped make this inaugural event a success!
Attendee feedback says it all. Two-thirds rated the conference sessions and speakers "excellent" and a huge 99% rated them "very good" or "excellent". They told us that several things made the Summit special - the RPG and DB2 focused curriculum, the quality of the speakers, the small class sizes, and an unusually high level of interaction between themselves, their peers and instructors. Check out their comments and check references here.
Highlights of the week included the Summit get-acquainted dinner Tuesday evening, where Skip Marchesani managed to win all of the door prizes... temporarily. Busted, Skip!
Another highlight was the Summit's Keynote Address, where George Farr announced IBM's latest plans for WDSC's Screen Designer and Application Diagram.
You can read the media coverage of his address in both The
Four Hundred and NEWS Daily. Summit attendees were
the first to hear the news, and they took advantage of the opportunity to ask questions and share their opinions with George.
Plans for the next Summit are already under way. You can expect the same quality sessions and speakers, the same great value, the same positive energy. Be sure to sign up for our email list to make sure you get all the details!
In the meantime, check out the good times we captured in our photo gallery, the Session Grid from the first SUMMIT, and the great speaker line-up to see why the RPG & DB2 SUMMIT is destined to become the new standard in educational events for serious RPG and DB2 developers.
